Hi, my name is Tracey and I am a Personal Trainer here at LA Fitness, Derby. I am here to help my clients achieve their fitness goals whatever they may be.

Trainer Type - Personal Trainer

is a Personal Trainer - Grade 3 Trainer.

Personal Trainers provide training in all areas of general fitness and will provide clients with all the motivation and support they need to achieve their desired goals, both short and long term.

They use progressive, periodised training programmes, specific and personal to each client. They select the best loads, reps, sets and order of exercises to overload the body and deliver results significantly better than by training alone. They provide hard AND fun workouts and educate clients on the best exercises to perform and the best intensities to work at.

Required Qualifications

A Personal Trainer should hold a REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) level 3 qualification or equivalent – the required national standard.

By working with me you can improve the results of your workouts through specific, varied and challenging programs. I am here to support and motivate you through this change and ensure you see the results you want!

Special Populations

I am skilled to work with Older Adults, Adolescents and Pregnant Women. I address conditions such as Hypertension and Osteoarthritis in addition to increasing bone and muscle health. For all my clients, I ensure that I address any Postural issues which may be found. Conditions such as Rounded Shoulders, Kyphosis, Lordosis, Scoliosis and Anterior, Posterior and Lateral pelvic tilts will be addressed.

Rehabilitation from Injury

I am trained to assist my clients to regain normal mobility of their joints through the increase in strength and endurance of the muscles and increase of strength of the attachments of the muscle and tendon. Assisted stretching will be used to avoid a restricted range of movement. An improvement in co-ordination and proprioception will help to prevent re-injury.

Weight Management

I will help you whatever your goal may be, through the introduction of a balanced diet or manipulation of nutrition. I will help you get results by completing food diaries, suggesting alternative foods and providing general guidance in line with your fitness goals and your exercise program. You can also book a Lifestyle Consultation where we can go through all aspects affecting your results.

Sports Performance

I am skilled to help all athletes to improve their performance in their chosen sport. Through determination of physiological, biomechanical and psychological needs of the sport itself, I can develop a profile of priorities for my clients. This will then determine the sports specific exercise programme. I will liaise with coaching teams and other health professionals as required.
